After much thought, I decided to migrate the Dinsdale-UK site to Wordpress.
There were a few reasons for this. Joomla is quite server intensive and the server im hosted on at the moment isnt exactly a power beast; Wordpress is much more lightweigt and therefore runs more quickly and doesnt hog precous cpu cylcles from other users of this server.
Joomla is also quite complex compared to Wordpress. Joomla has some fantastic features, which more than make up for its complexity, but at the end of the day, I didnt need half of those features.
Wordpress is the best bloging system about and as my site is primarilly a blog, it makes sense to use it.
So, let me know what you think about the site, and I hope you enjoy it!

I Finally found the finances to purchase new components in order to completely overhaul my PC at home.
This is what I Bought:
ABIT AB9 Pro iP965 Motherboard
- Intel Core 2 Duo E6600. Running at 2.4gHz with 1066mHz FSB and 4MB cache
2GB Corsair PC2-5400 XMS Memory
Xpertvision 8500GT Sonic edition, 256MBÂ RAM Video Card
3 x 80GB SATAII Harddisks
The gear arrived on Thursday 5th and I installed the new kit straight away that evening.
Ive configured the Disks in a RAID0 (Striped) Array, Ive then further partitioned this in to two logical drives, one for the system and the second as my working disk. The reason for this is to provide fast read/write access to the system and working disks.
The working drive contains my games and video editing files, so its brilliant to be able to have lighting fast access to resources on this disk.
All in all im very pleased with the upgrade. Including the sale of my old IDE disks, the upgrade came in at a ver reasonable £350 quid, all purchased from Ebuyer.
