Just a quick note about my websites gallery. I’m using Alex Rabes’s NextGen Gallery, its one of the best gallery Plugins available for wordpress, and he’s just release his latest version which is fully WordPress 2.7 compatible.
In addition to that I’m also using an addon to NextGen Gallery Called NextGen Flashveiwer. This addon, created by Boris Glumpler allows NextGen Gal lery images to be displayed using some cool flash effects from Airtight Interactive.
Thanks to all the above for their brilliant work!

I’ve just installed a plugin that allows people to sign up and login to the site using and OpenID.
OpenID is an initiative being supported by a wide range of organisations which is hoping to reduce the need for uers to have multiple usernames and passwords for all their various web accounts.
For more info check out the OpenID site or for a good (and independent) OpenID provider, click here.

After much thought, I decided to migrate the Dinsdale-UK site to WordPress.
There were a few reasons for this. Joomla is quite server intensive and the server im hosted on at the moment isnt exactly a power beast; WordPress is much more lightweigt and therefore runs more quickly and doesnt hog precous cpu cylcles from other users of this server.
Joomla is also quite complex compared to WordPress. Joomla has some fantastic features, which more than make up for its complexity, but at the end of the day, I didnt need half of those features.
WordPress is the best bloging system about and as my site is primarilly a blog, it makes sense to use it.
So, let me know what you think about the site, and I hope you enjoy it!
